Madagascar is the only country able to meet the demand of la Réunion

Madagascar is the only country of the Indian Ocean able to meet the demand for biological rice of la Réunion, particularly among school canteens. In fact, our rice fields are coveted and websites including the Journal of Economics are already talking about the purchase of rice by the Regional Council of la Réunion. A study for the identification and characterization of a rice supplier in the Indian Ocean region was conducted by IFAD with scientists of the QualiREG network. (2/18/13, Midi Madagasikara, p4)
