Madagascar is part of the 39 countries which reform has made business easier since 2006. It has established a One-stop shop and is one of the 10 top reformers in business start up. Madagascar changed publication formalities and dropped the validation of signatures at the mayor's office. It cut 10 procedures to 5, and the time from 3 weeks to 1.It's also the 7th of 40 countries in the sub-Saharan Africa Region as the Index of Economic Freedom shows. Registering a business takes average 4 days and freedom of foreign ownership is launched.
